Policy on Research Infrastructure Sharing Ecosystem (P-RISE)
The Union Budget of India 2023-24 announced that, ‘the facilities in select ICMR Labs will be made available for research by public and private medical college faculty and private sector R&D teams for encouraging collaborative research and innovation.
In view of this, Department of Health research and Indian Council of Medical Research have prepared a draft policy on Research Infrastructure Sharing namely, Policy on Research Infrastructure Sharing Ecosystem (P-RISE). This policy envisions to establish a mechanism to provide access to the centralized network of scientific research infrastructure within ICMR to fulfil the research needs of all researchers across the country thereby ensuring optimal use of available research facilities and promote health research.
